Printing & Exporting to PDF
Bring recipes, weekly cookbooks, and grocery checklists to physical paper or share high-resolution PDFs 100% offline.
Cooking is a tactile craft. When hands are covered in olive oil, flour, or spice rubs, handling a touchscreen phone can be messy and inconvenient. Screen timeouts interrupt your rhythm, and battery levels drain during hours of simmering.
Minthee includes a native, on-device Print & PDF Engine designed specifically for real kitchen counter workflows. Whether you want to clip a single recipe to a fridge magnet, assemble a physical family recipe binder, carry a printed grocery checklist through the supermarket aisles, or share a polished PDF cookbook with loved ones, Minthee handles everything locally.

2. Interactive “Paper Simulation” Print Preview
Before a single drop of ink touches paper, Minthee opens an interactive Print Options Bottom Sheet featuring a Realistic Paper Simulation Preview:
- Real Paper Aspect Ratio: Simulates exact ISO 216 / A4 and US Letter page boundaries (595 × 842 pt grid at 72 DPI).
- Exact Layout & Page Breaks: Powered by an internal layout paginator that accurately calculates font metrics, text wraps, and element heights so headers and ingredients never split awkwardly across margins.
- Interactive Multi-Page Swiping: For multi-recipe weekly cookbooks, preview each page sequentially with forward and back arrows.
- Dynamic Live Updates: Adjusting font sizes, toggling photos, or switching layout modes immediately refreshes the paper preview on your screen.
3. Customizable Print Options
Tailor every print job to your printer and counter needs:
| Option | Setting | Why Use It |
|---|---|---|
| Font Size | Small (85%), Medium (100%), Large (120%) | Choose Large for easy reading from across the stove without squinting, or Small to fit longer recipes onto a single sheet. |
| Page Layout | One Dish Per Page vs. Fill Pages Efficiently | For multi-recipe week plans, start each dish on its own fresh page (ideal for recipe binders and ring folders) or pack recipes continuously to minimize paper consumption. |
| Include Photos | On / Off | Keep appetizing hero photography in your printout, or toggle off to eliminate image rendering and save ink. |
| Eco / Ink-Saver Mode | On / Off | Converts all brand accents, colored chips, and photos into high-contrast monochrome and grayscale line art to preserve expensive color printer cartridges. |
| Page Numbers | On / Off | Adds clean, subtle footer pagination (Page X of Y) for multi-page documents. |
Minthee automatically remembers your preferred settings across print jobs, so you never have to reconfigure them every time.
